Founder/Director

About our Founder

Vershion Funderburk, Atlanta native trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, and lyrical danced with both Morris Brown College, Bubblin' Brown Suga AND South Carolina State University, Champagne. Formal training prior to dancing in her high school marching band for 3yrs landed her a scholarship at both universities and a captain position her senior year at South Carolina State University.

 

Vershion later went on to pursue a Master’s degree from Indiana University-Bloomington and taught hip hop to undergraduates as an Assistant Professor, and grad assistant to ballroom and contemporary classes.  

She's now a fulltime high school dance educator and in her 9th year teaching in Community Programs for Atlanta Ballet Center for Dance Education. Vershion coached high school dancelines for 8yrs but now judges dance competitions nationwide, trains and consults high school & collegiate dancelines, coaches, band directors, and even advises school districts. Experience spans over 30 years.

Choreo U College AllStars

Choreo U offers High School Auxiliary Danceline & Coach Development, along with Great Resources & Quality Training for Competition & College Audition Prep! We are Technique Driven & Home of the HBCU Danceline weekly class called, #DancelineGrooves!
